Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai Royal Monastery has a long-standing reputation as one of the prominent temples in Bang Phli District, as it houses Luang Pho Tho, a revered Sukhothai-style Buddha statue in the subduing Mara posture, and is considered one of the three historical “brother temples.” Historically, King Naresuan led his army eastward from Ayutthaya to drive out enemies and arrived at an unnamed subdistrict where he performed a ritual sacrifice ceremony according to the Pichai Songkhram tactical treatise. After winning the war, he returned to build a royal pavilion at this site, naming the temple Wat Phlap Phla Chai Chana Songkhram. Later, the subdistrict where the ritual took place was named “Bang Phli,” leading to the temple being called Wat Bang Phli. Eventually, with the large statue of Luang Pho Tho enshrined in the ordination hall and the existence of Wat Bang Phli Yai Klang nearby, Wat Phlap Phla Chai Chana Songkhram came to be known as “Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai Royal Monastery” or “Luang Pho Tho Temple” to this day.

O-Yua is a famous bar and restaurant known for drinks and appetizers, originally located in the Kaset area (formerly at Ratchayothin). In 2023, it expanded to its third branch at Ancient City (Mueang Boran) in Bang Pu, situated right at the very front of the Ancient City, almost bordering the main road, allowing visitors to dine without having to enter the attraction. The newly built restaurant features a spacious and airy atmosphere with high ceilings, a mezzanine, and beautiful crystal chandeliers. The menu consists of traditional Thai dishes and side dishes, matching the offerings of other O-Yua branches.

Parking might be a bit limited, but coming right when the store opens makes it easy to find a spot. The atmosphere feels just like being by the seaside—the vibe is totally on point.
